The register · version 1

The standard.

What it means when a firm is listed here as vetted. Written down so buyers know exactly what a listing is worth, and so firms know exactly what is asked of them.

Why a written standard

Most directories rank whoever pays the most. We think that is why buyers stopped trusting them. On this register, the standard is the gate. It is documented, it is applied by a person, and it is reviewed every year. No firm can buy a listing, a ranking, or the seal.

What we check

A real, trading IT services firm

An active business with identifiable principals and a genuine services practice. Not a shell, a brand front, or a lead reseller.

Demonstrated delivery

Evidence of completed client work in the specialisms the firm claims, such as case material, named engagements, or verifiable public work.

Verifiable references

Client references we can contact, and do. Spot checks are part of the process, not a formality.

True specialisation

The entry says what the firm actually does. Claimed specialisms must match delivered work, and generalist claims are trimmed to the evidence.

Standards of conduct

Appropriate insurances for the work, clear engagement terms, and a clean record on the basics buyers care about.

How it is applied

Every firm on the register starts as a base listing compiled from public information. Any firm may claim its entry, correct it, or ask for removal. A claimed firm may then apply to be vetted. The evidence is reviewed by a person against the criteria above, edge cases are decided by the registrar, and the outcome is recorded. Vetted status is reviewed annually and can be withdrawn if the standard stops being met.

The rules we hold ourselves to Visibility is never for sale. Paid membership buys services, promotion, and referral access, never a ranking and never the seal. The criteria on this page are the whole test, and when they change, the change is published here.

For firms

If your firm belongs on this register, claim your entry. Founding firms are vetted ahead of launch and listed from day one.
